A commenter writes on this video: Atheists are such a hoot. It took less than 90 seconds for this guy to serve up two whoppers of dreadful logic. First, lets assume hes right & there are 3,000 gods. Simple logic tells you that your odds are better to roll your dice for one particular god than to not roll at all. Second, one cannot be an atheist in relation to one god, while at the same time being a theist in relation to another. An atheist does not get to pick & choose which gods they will reject one which they will not. If youre an atheist you reject any and all gods, no exceptions. Atheists hold the intellectual high ground? Yeah, right. ------------- I respond: You are an unbeliever to every god ever worshiped, other than Yahweh. You prove that someone can can be heretical to every faith but one, so you pretty much destroy your own argument, brother. Youre an atheist to Zeus, and a bunch of others. Im an atheist to every deity. Happy to clear that up. And no, if the odds are 1 in 3,000 (and theyre worse than that in reality - this was a hypothetical), youre better off hedging your bets. So why dont you keep a shrine to Athena under your bed, just in case? Shes just as likely to exist as Yahweh. Has just as much scientific evidence for her existence (none), same lack of evidence for her nonexistence... Yet you dont worship her, for some reason. Dont have any faith. And you have a problem with me, when I have the same issues with Yahweh? Like I said in the video, thats just hypocrisy. But if you think you wear it well, power to you. There exist religions that dont disallow belief in other deities, by the way. Yahwehs jealous insistence that you love no other god but Him makes it so there are other religious gamblers out there with an edge over you. They actually DO worship many gods... So if Pascals wager wasnt insane, youd still be in a worse position than many Pagans. Thanks for watching, all the same. And for the compliment - my friends think Im a hoot, too.
