A common mistake that many people make is thinking that agnosticism is suppose to be a philosophical stance. That is NOT always the case. According to Thomas Henry Huxley who coined the term in 1869, agnosticism is a method and NOT a conclusion. Agnosticism is the preferred method and/or starting point when dealing with the metaphysical question of the existence of God. Most agnostics reject all claims of revealed knowledge through mystical and spiritual means while holding on the the possibility of a non-theistic god-concept. Agnostics are NOT Muslims or Christians who have issues of faith sometimes. They are free-thinkers who while rejecting a theistic god concept, see a non-theistic god concept as a possibility.
