A concerned American citizen from Philadelphia started the petition linked to below, calling for the US Govt. to extradite Warren Anderson, former CEO of Union Carbide, for trial in India. If the petition gets 100,000 signatures (from American citizens) by July 13th, the White House is obligated to respond. The Union Carbide Corporation (UCC) was responsible for the 1984 gas leak in Bhopal, India, which has killed 20,000 people to date and left over 100,000 with debilitating medical conditions. Despite repeated requests from the Govt. of India over the last 30 years, American officials of UCC refuse to appear for trial and the US Govt. refuses to intervene. Please do take a moment to sign and share. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/extradite-warren-anderson-bhopal-fugitive-and-bail-jumper-india-face-charges-related-thousands/Vg3bzZHx
