A confession: I lost my temper with Tosho 3 during the week when I discovered that he had been working the mare Kapkis is helping to heal after past rough treatment. I was so upset by the sight of her trotting, sweating, towing a load - however light - that I asked him not to come to his usual Kapkis work session this morning. The agreement made was that while Kapkis is paying her vet bills and for her food, the mare should not wear a harness, let alone work. This may be behind why his young wife turned up unexpectedly - see below. She said he had wanted to come but was worried Id be cross. An enquiry after the mare assured me she is now doing nothing but rest and eat.
