A confident ANC negotiated with an illegitimate apartheid regime even as it was killing our people in KZN, Vaal, East and West Rand. Fast forward to 2014. The ANC has an overwhelming in parliament. The opposition wants the President of the country to come to parliament and answer question. The ANC is having none of it. It then makes an indecent proposal to the opposition. Lie on the floor and play dead, then he will appear to answer questions. Accepting that the EFF charges onto the Privileges committee is political, the ANC undertakes to shelf it if opposition stops calling for accountability. Better to face a kangaroo court than make a deal to sup with the devil. Accountability of the Executive cannot be negotiated.
