A controversy between Northwestern grad and "Friends" alum David Schwimmer and his NYC community over this townhouse, reminds me of a battle between West Dundee officials and those at First United Methodist Church over its historic parsonage. In West Dundee, the church wants to knock its landmark parsonage down to build a parking lot for its members. But West Dundee says no and a fight over maintaining the decaying parsonage is still in court. Meanwhile, Schwimmer has become persona non grata for razing his 1852 townhouse and building a new one (seen here) in its place. He knocked it down months before it could have granted landmark status, according to the New York Post. #dhontour Kim Tibbetts
