A conversation of two extraordinary characters: Telau: Aguanmieth, I heard from one of your previous nights conversant, that none of those involved, in the course of the discourse, rested an eye for a sleep, there must be a particular wonder of enviable delight that the gentlemen must have been imparting. Please, Decent Gentle, so much am I seized by longing to hear the precession of such a steady night. If only my impatience to hear, what the passed night has witnessed, conveniently coincides with your unperturbed comfort, I would be happy a recipient. Aguanmieth: Telau, I am indeed in my good spirits and the remarks of the passed night are vividly lively. I shall, to your wish, relate what seems to be the explanation of sleep deprivation on our part. The conversation was around many political issues affecting our country- Panpar. But only one topic, which took a great portion of the night and passions, I shall bring to your attention; and that is Corruption. You must also notice that there were only four gentlemen present and involved in the remarks session: Tio, Guur, Telei and myself. However, I thought it proper that a man of my kind, chided of a series of corruption charges, anywhere the men of mouths gather, should rather listen and learn. My decision of doing so rendered me covetous comfort that Guur will try to obtain but in vain- for the rest of his life. You also know Tios tongue disability- I mean his stammering nature- could not carry him effortlessly along the twists and turns of such sensational social matters- so he threw a towel prematurely. So Telei and Guur perpetuated the discourse as follows: Guur: I am completely in agreement with Tios assessment that corruption is a base political practice, however, if the fortunes of such in-recommendable enterprise are utilized well, some unintended common good may result from it. Telei: Guur, please enlighten me farther. In what manner could the fortunes of deplorable practice be transformed into a public commodity? Also consider it in the light that only good produces good, as it is our ancestral maxim. Guur: there are two examples I can think of, suppose that instead of investing such fortunes in some apparent ventures abroad, where potential employment and other benefits could be lost, one invests here at home in agriculture and construction industries. In the case of the former, our illiterate middle-age folks and some youth could find employment matching their skills, they would also have greatly subsidized/free goods to incentivize their continuing commitment to work with pride- as citizens. Another indirect benefit here is effective combat to malnourishment. And in the latter industry, young men and women who have little education and drive could benefit handsomely from the skills obtainable from accumulated work experience from construction projects and labor. To be continued...
