A cooler weather pattern takes hold now into the weekend, with overnight lows generally upper 30s to lower 40s and highs from the upper 50s to lower 60s. For the most part dry weather should also prevail, with a couple of exceptions. The first tonight into tomorrow and Friday in the Adks. where the cool flow over Lake Ontario will induce a lake response to produce clouds and some showers...cold enough late tonight, in fact for some snow flakes in the highest spots. The 2nd exception will come from a weak coastal low which will pass south of the Northeast late Fri night/Sat....it will spread clouds into much of the region with a chance of light showers/rain in the southern portion of our area, Ulster, Dutchess, Berkshire, and Litchfield counties. Next week, however, looks to turn a bit warmer. More tonight 5pm through 7pm on CBS6
