A couple days prior to meeting Richard, I had walked the same area as a follow-up to the March 2014 snow on the ground visit. At the northern end I ran across a row of spaced stones that even I recognized were out of place. There was a small grouping at the furthest point north and then there interspersed stones continuing southward. As I am perpetually fixated on finding old roads, I wondered if the stones represented an edge boundary of an old trail; however, they were placed in a fashion that correlated very poorly with the existent rock walls.
