A couple months ago, after considering how Jesus Scourging at the Pillar, from this great movie by Mel Gibson, was for our sins of impurity, and with the help of some ppl at a wonderful school I had the blessing to teach at for a few yrs, including one student who mentioned that he noticed the man (pontious Pilate, not sure which official that was?) called SATIS!!!! (Meaning ENOUGH!!) after the Roman Soldiers were profusely whipping & scourging our beloved Savior Jesus, while LAUGHING & Im pretty sure not even REALIZING WHAT THEY WERE DOING TO JESUS, I thought of my own sin, that I shouldnt just let things happen recklessly or just however they might happen day to day in my own life, but live with & do everything with love, guided by the Holy Spirit, & how many ppl in the world REALLY NEEDED TO KNOW OF GODS AMAZING BEAUTIFUL PURE Holy & tender hearted sweet love, I made a promise that I would do whatever I could to help ppl know about this amazing LOVE OF GOD, which surpasses understanding as The Bible says, & kept praying with the Scripture from Deuteronomy 30, which is summed up in that we have each day, in anything & everything we do, a choice to choose life or death, blessing or cursing & as the Bible says then, the very best super awesomest choice is to (Apparently, the Bible already SAYS SO)...CHOOSE LIFE, Then that you & your descendants may LIVE!!! Not just in decisions that we think are most important, but in each decision, sometimes, (As St Therese of Lisieux said, most especially, in the LITTLE THINGS), choosing to love & not hate, choosing to be at peace & reconcile with your brother, choosing to grow in TRUE love with God & others & not just go with the status quo or what society may think is the coolest, NO MATTER HOW MANY PPL MAY WALK THAT ROAD, but to sincerely take up my cross daily, trusting God in everything, & knowing that He works ALL things together for the good of those who love Him & are called according to His purpose. I just cant shake thinking lately of how amazing Gods love for us is, & of how PASSIONATELY & purely He loved us on the cross, so that we might have life & have it to the fullest. - -another couple Bible quotes in there!! God is AMAZING, & when His love sets you free, you are FREE INDEED & can continue to share in the journey of LIFE however God leads, with obedience, but also with a beautiful freedom to be creative in the way we share His life & Love!!!!
