A couple months ago my hubby came home with Dawn Antibacterial dish soap. though I knew triclosan was dangerous I used it anyways. I did not realize how nasty it is. For many years it was in face washes that I used etc. Then a friend sent this to me... Can you believe Triclosan is found in most toothpastes, deodorants, shampoos, hand soaps and sanitizers. Triclosan has been associated with hormone disruption and possible bacterial resistance. (The Endocrine Society warns that Triclosan alters thyroid and reproductive hormones levels like testosterone and estrogen.) Studies conducted over the past decade show that Triclosan penetrates human skin and remains in the body even when these products are used for seconds during a hand wash or a shower or other minimal exposure. Due to its inherent danger, Triclosan is banned or limited in Europe, Japan, and Canada.
