A couple of days back, I was honored to be invited for a dinner by one of the top 10 contenders of Master Chef Pakistan, Khuram Haroon. It was a fabulous spread with starters of Humus with seared lamb and Nachos Habanero home made Salsa. Not sure if many know about Habanero chili but its among the most spiciest chili in the world. Hummus was perfectly made with zest of lemon squeezed over it and lots of olive oil served with toasted crunchy pita. Perfect, the way I like it. For the main course, it was a FIESTA starting with Turkoman Rice made with Lamb and Tomato Rice which tasted just like Spanish Paella, Sichuan style Sweet and sour fish was next followed by Crispy chicken and broccoli with an oriental sauce. Bouranee Baunjan (Afghani Eggplant with a tomato and yogurt), Cottage Pie (with a twist ), Prawn fettuccini in white sauce topped with paprika and Olive oil. Beef Steaks served with Demi-glace cream sauce with refried Beans and Sautéed vegetable. If I was to describe each and every dish here then it will turn into a short story rather a review but one word to describe the food, Brilliant. Hope Khuram BHAI will channel his talent towards a proper restaurant business soon as his food tasted lot better than some of most expensive restaurants in town.
