A couple of months ago, I wrote a column about the aging CP rail yards in Old Strathcona, about the way they divided the neighbourhood and cut off traffic. At the time, CP insisted they had NO plans to close the yards, that they would stay open indefinitely. So I was delighted and surprised by todays most excellent news..
