A couple of weeks ago I was talking to my friend Doug about the real mission of Yahshua (Jesus) found in Matthew 10:34. For most of my life the fall was always a season I looked forward to but in recent years it has become more bitter than sweet. From now until spring the Sword is taken out of its sheath and the hard reality of it becomes more and more evident.... to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law--a mans enemies will be the members of his own household. Another year of Testing begins....Who will we choose to love this year? Ourselves? Our Traditions? Are we afraid to be Set Apart by this sword? If so...why? Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. I pray the following series will prick some hearts this year and shore up some loyalties that deserve a bigger priority in our lives.
