A couple of years ago I made the proud announcement here on FB that Christmas At C.B.G.B.s was our first YouTube video to crack the 10K mark in total views. Over the last few years weve added the music video for our song Gutwrench and then the YouTube video/pic show for our punkd out version of Feliz Navidad. Now you can add Running With The Rainbow Unicorn as the 4th of our recordings/YouTube videos to crack that mark! The song wasnt written by any of us - it was from the cartoon The Mighty B!, which was the brainchild of super-funny-woman Amy Poehler. Ive seen nearly every episode from that series and one night, while churning through a real long recording session in Miami with Paul Zlotucha on drums, I launched into the opening guitar riff for the tune. Paul joined right in and, of course, it all got recorded. Over the next few years we added bass and lead guitar to it. I redid the rhythm guitar and vocals on the Upper East Side in the Fall of 2012 and my dear friend Sean McEvoy (UB uber alles!) did the ersatz music video to my specs, using footage from the actual cartoon episode (We Got The Bee): https://youtube/watch?v=8rJ5Fp1SMUQ It must have struck a chord with somebody out there because this, I believe, was the quickest Baghdaddios video to reach the 10K mark (dont quote me on that - Feliz may have been quicker to that mark - but its still pretty impressive!). I honestly dont know why we dont do this one more often in public. Its fun! Anyway, we just wanted to crow about, what for us is a not-so-commonplace achievement. We may not be currently touring or even charting but, hey, We got the bee.........
