A couple of years ago, while doing sound at a local dance club that had live dance music, I met an old school LA Chicano dude, ten years older than me who played keys with the band. We got into a discussion over music, and he was a big fan of the Mahavishnu Orchestra like myself. I proceeded with sound check, started to dial him in, and during his check he played Birds of Fire.
