A couple of years back I know of a good friend, a nyonya from Melaka, a Lawyer and a fellow Buddhist. Her name is Belinda Tan. She was diagnosed with cancer of the colon, where a teeny weeny bit appears to be malignant. A hospital in Singapore did the trick and removed the cancerous part and she was advised to undergo a low dose of chemotheraphy. I recall despite much persuasion from her good friend a fellow lawyer, she adamantly refused. She opted for holistic cure and I distinctly remember her telling me, the way to prevent cancer is 100 leaves of Sabah snake grass blended with one apple ( green). She took it faithfully believing that this is the magic bullet that will ward all cancer demons away. . That year I received a call, after 1 year after the operation, she was already in stage 4 cancer. I met her at Jayajusco Air Keroh and before I drove back to KL I knew this will be the last time I will be seeing her. I gave her a big hug and whispered in her ears , all should be alright. I know I am lying because all is not alright. a few months later Belinda Tan passed away. What really is eating me up is the fact that even at her 4th stage, Belinda was still on Sabah Snake Grass 100 leaves blended with one green apple. Belinda is dead and gone but you who are still alive, please listen to your doctors they should know better.
