A couple things from the Lions-Cowboys officiating situation yesterday: - Mechanically, if two officials have conflicting opinions on the play, they need to talk before the Referee announces anything. This situation wouldnt have as much conversation about it if it was just picked up. - There was handfighting the entire route, and both a hold and a facemask couldve been called. Im a believer that they call too many handfighting calls, and Im ok with letting both go since both guys are contributing. - I dont think there is pass interference here. To me, theres not a lot of body contact when the ball arrives. However, my bigger issue is the throw. The ball is poorly thrown and in the middle of the defenders back. I cant stand rewarding a bad play with a penalty. - Dez Bryant shouldve been flagged for arguing on the field without a helmet. No doubt. -Why didnt Caldwell go for it on fourth down and 1? Or run the ball on 3rd and 1 in the first place? Win the game!
