A couple weeks back over many cocktails some friends and I were discussing starting a Save the Shawarma Truck event. The truck seen has been a Canoa Beach Landmark for several years and a damn good place to score a $2.50 sandwich. So I closed the deal today and own it. Most of the profits will go to the local bi lingual non profit school Founded by Jim Byrd. Jim will be responsible for operating and staffing the truck and I get a free Shawarma now and then; so does Leonard Worley for getting me drunk that night. Its a block off the beach if ya wanna yob mon.
