A couple years ago, a good friend of mine, Mr Rosmund Davis started a charter boat business. The members of the AUF started a false, sick rumour that I was a shareholder. The leader of that party also stated in one of his articles that I negotiated the fast ferry deal. I admonished them to refrain from this sort of verbiage because some person may do Mr David harm. It happened. His boats were burned and he was shot. The same party in particular Curtis Richardson has continuously stated jn private and publicly that Hubert Hughes sons are getting all the work. This rumour has been promoted by so many operatives including Carl Provenzal and his cartoon, liked by so many. Tonight, someone decided to act and they burned a number of my brothers equipment and much more. This sort of politics has no place in Anguilla and we already know the perps will not be brought to justice. I know this because too much corruption and wrong doing is allowed and covered up by those who are tasked with our internal security, police and judicial systems depending on who is doing it. From where I sit, I can say so without reservation. Carl Provenzal, Curtis Richardson and all those who promulgate these rumours that are causing persons to be angered enough to do such harm to my friends and family should grow up and realize that your frivolous words with the goal of power and grandeur can have far reaching consequences.
