A couple years ago, we had an election in America. For those of you who don’t know, and hey, there could be some out there, our president was named Barack Obama and he was running against a guy named Mitt Romney. I knew I had to pick one of those guys, cuz my dad always told me I had three duties as an American. I had to serve my country. I had to pay my taxes. And I had to vote. I did serve my country. I do pay my taxes. But God as my witness, I looked at these two guys and I didn’t wanna vote for either of ‘em. But I had to vote for someone, so I looked at the other alternatives, and seriously, they sucked, they really, really sucked. But I had to vote. I scratched my head, it was perplexing. What to do? What to do? Then it hit me. Our country, the world and maybe even the whole wide universe would be better off if I was president. So I threw my hate in the ring and I campaigned vigorously on Facebook on the No War and Free Movies for Everyone platform. So sure was I that I was going to get elected, that I wrote my victory speech. I mean who likes war? No one. Who likes movies? Everyone. How on Earth could I ever lose? We don’t have a TV, Vesta and me, so we spent the night in a motel, watching the returns, flipping from CNN to Fox and to my abject disbelief, neither of those stations even mentioned me. Jeez, I lost. How could that have happened? I was so depressed that I didn’t post on Facebook for two whole days. And during that time, I had an epiphany, I just didn’t announce soon enough. But that loss was so devastating, I just don’t know if I can go through it all again.
