A court order has been given which says : 1) A police outpost shall be installed at the required entrances of the University campus so that the police personnel are available to divert any untoward incident happening. 2) The entry to the University campus should be restricted to the identity card holders i.e. the students, faculty or staff of the campus. 3) If any students intend to agitate, they are at liberty to do so at a place indicated by the University so that there shall not be any disturbance to the running of the classes. 4) If any outsider intends to visit the University, the University shall have a desk at the entrance of the University campus who shall issue passes after verifying the details of the prospective visitor who intends to visit the University. 5) The state is directed to deploy necessary police personnel to control the situation whenever needed. Points to note down : 1) Jadavpur University is an autonomous body and hence the judge cannot impose the rules until our Registrar signs on it. So this rule is NOT YET APPLICABLE. 2) This is clear indication of suppressing the movement and clearing the path of VC to enter the University which is no case acceptable. Remember THAT is one of our primary demands - resignation of VC. Decisions taken in the General Body meeting : 1) In protest of police posting and the whole turn of events today we have called for a dharna in front of Main Gate of Jadavpur University ( Gate 4) . 2) The Lalbajar Obhijaan has been postponed for now. I hope you all can understand that it is a desperate try to suppress the movement. Hence we need all of you tomorrow to stand with us and resist. Tomorrow is going to be real crucial. I hope you all will continue to support us. Because please understand if you do not then it will again be a surrender to muscle power and anarchy will continue and we all will suffer. As I mentioned earlier as well that it is not Jadavpurs own war anymore. We need to stand strong and resist. Please share the post and let maximum people know about this so that they all can come and support us in every way possible.
