A crisp spring evening at Stamford Bridge as two giants of international football lined up. Brazil and India. After 1 randomized choice of 5 I took India with whole hearted hope. After 3 randomized choices Michael C. George took Brazil as his own. The game began that evening after an intense warm up session that afternoon. India started well with a quick break from kickoff but a weak attempt at the back post they looked reasonably strong until Oscar drew blood after Brazil played their typical samba style up the pitch. Pal didnt have a chance in goal as Oscar Dos Santos struck the back of the net at Shed End to the adoring Brazilian fans at the 17 minute mark. Kickoff and India played well for much of the second half until the 41st minute Neymar living up to his World Cup expectations turned the Indians inside out like someone had just stepped on a freshly made samosa. 2-0. By half time Brazil led 3-0 BUT INDIAN HAS POSSESSION. Sadly this was all they would have as the second half started much like the first ended. Goal upon goal flew past Pal as he helplessly looked at his defense for help. When the ref finally blew the whistle to end the game the scoreboard read a 7-0 killing to the Brazilian superstars and they even claimed the possession stat too. India trudged away heartbroken. At the end of the game Indian national team manager James Kalra had this to say: I felt we started the game strongly and at the end of the day I am proud of the heart my lads showed out there to power through to the finish against a team with such talent and reputation Michael George will go in to the World Cup next month with his team in high spirits after such an emphatic win. He was truly the better man on this day. This has been Jonjo Shelvey reporting have a wonderful evening folks.
