A critique of the main course served at the hipsy and me lady restaurant tonight ;) The black rice was rich with a nice nutty flavour very unusual in a pleasant way The carrots julienne snow peas and broccoli flowers where perfect with a little snap The potatoe roasted with honey and cinnamon with a splash of olive oil was perhaps a tad underdone although thats how I like them with a slight crispness but the flavours were a great combination not one over powering the other and not as sweet as expected when I over dolloped the honey The chicken roasted with the crushed chili garlic paprika paste wrapped in bacon was cooked just to the right point bacon just cooked through and chicken moist and tender Changes Id propose... A bit less of the chilli and more garlic for the chicken... Id go with a bit less of the cinnamon but not much and for those who like their potato soft Id leave it in for a few more minutes... The veggies might have been sweeter if I had put just a teaspoon of honey in or perhaps for a little tang squeeze some lemon or better yet some lime in during the cooking All up? Id give it about an 8 out of 10 DO TRY the black rice it really is something else ;) Onto sweets!!!
