A cruise ship docks at Castries, Saint Lucia on 23 March 2014: there is a growing concern that cruise ships as an approach to promoting tourism does not benefit the economies and local people in such countries. The view is that guests arriving by cruise ships do not leave money in these countries-- that they eat and sleep on board the ships, and only come off to take photos and do selfies. Local people dont eat selfies!
