A cry for zoning of Oro Federal Constituency to Mbo LGA: I am - TopicsExpress

A cry for zoning of Oro Federal Constituency to Mbo LGA: I am strongly in support of zoning, as enshrined in PDPs Oral constitution. The only problem lies in the caliber of the opportunistic characters of Mbo origin, currently interested in the office. Nse Ekpenyong represented Mbo in the state house of assembly he was unable to utter a word throughout his tenure. Nses claim to fame is Standard 4 (not even GCE). My brothers and sisters, do not let anyone fool you. Education pays. Nse is not even equipped to be a LG Councillor. What in the world will he be doing in Abuja, for crying out loud. The other character is Alice Ekpenyong. To the best of my knowledge, she is not beyond School Certificate (WAEC). There is nothing wrong in a school certificate holder representing his/her people, as long as he/she understands the expectations of the people. Alice is in her second term in the state house of assembly, and absolutely nothing to show for it. She has never sponsored a bill. The only thing she does best is hauling Ghana must Go bags from Hill top Mansion to the house for sharing, whenever the governator needs to pass a pension bill. She reports to Unoma Akpabio, and assist with domestic chores, in exchange for a free ticket (sorry she works for it). Even Akpabio who is known for surrounding himself with incompetent sycophants, said NO to Alice, when her name was being floated for position of the speaker. I need not even mention her character, which is unbecoming of a legislator. There are too many embarrassing scandals surrounding Alice Ekpenyong at this moment. I would advise people around her (including her husband) to please ask her to stay back and invest the little bounty she has collected so far from Akpabio wisely. Infact Alice is a political baggage to the people of Mbo LGA. We are now left with Robinson and Boyce Edubio. Boyce appears promising, but he is yet to prove himself, given the fact that Robinson has raised the bar. At the end of the day we may be better served by dealing with the devil we know. Uwak has not done badly, by any standard. If Boyce is serious, the time is now. I was not impressed in Boyces rebuttal of Robinsons Maritime bill. I expected him to demonstrate superiority of knowledge in that field, given the fact that he is a product of MAN. I am suggesting a committee of Oro Think Tank/COTR to setup a town hall meeting, for all aspiring politicians. They need to tell Oro what they intend to do, if elected. They need to also articulate a deep knowledge of all the problems we are currently facing, and what they intend to do. And also what they have done in the past that benefits their constituency.
