A cry of an orphan By Ruetry Sometimes I wonder whether I am really who I am With no parents to love me for who I am Alone in this world full of hatred Well that’s my fate that will never be ended Facing this world alone, is very hard Without someone to hold your hand To guide you through success and failures Who’s going to hold my hand? There’s no one when I wake up in the morning Or when I go to sleep No one to sing me a lullaby As I drift to sleep No one to help me with my chores No mother or father to call my own No one to comfort me when I cry I’m all alone until I die Why don’t people care for me? Is it who I am? Why doesn’t someone love me? Just for what am Where are my parents I wonder? Why have they left me here to wither? Why aren’t they coming to see me I wonder? Maybe they’ve left me here forever All I want is someone to love me Someone to guide me and to help me Am I asking too much?
