A cultural or literary event on Assamese language and culture in a - TopicsExpress

A cultural or literary event on Assamese language and culture in a place like Delhi (or elsewhere outside Assam) is either organized by some governmental enterprise or by initiatives taken by people from Assam residing out there only. It seems to be a new face of possibilities when a newly established institute like Nine Schools of Art (a platform for contemporary thoughts and ideas around Art) offered us a scope for a workshop on contemporary Assamese literature. We can see an independent platform to cultivate dialogues around Indian Languages (let keep aside the words like ‘vernacular’ or ‘regional’) outside the ideologies prompted from the Nation-State, or ideological premises grounded upon regional-nationalism. People speaking Assamese language practicing with words and arts may take a look at this.
