A customer brought his wifes Corsa in for an MOT last week and complained that the whole car was juddering from 20MPH upwards. We agreed to carry the test out first to see if there were any other issues that needed attention too. This turned out to be wise as I discovered a split inner CV boot on the passenger drive shaft. The CV boot is designed to keep the grease in its joint, the split had let the grease leak out and the joint to dry up causing premature wear. This, in turn was causing the whole car to shudder, a replacement shaft was the only remedy. A correctly handling car and an MOT certificate and a happy customer was the end result.
