A cut off low brought much of Iowa plenty of rain between Monday and Tuesday. The low was cut off from the jet stream, the main moving source of pressure system, and dumped plenty of rain across parts of central and eastern Iowa. Though Iowa isnt under any sort of drought conditions, part of the extreme eastern KWWL viewing area in SW Wisconsin is abnormally dry as of Oct 7 (an updated map should come out soon). Thanks to the Iowa Mesonet, here are rain totals from Monday through Tuesday 7pm and a pictures of the normal amount of precipitation Iowa sees during the month of October.
