A cyclist, identified as a 27-year-old man from Roseau River First Nation, was killed on Sunday night when he was struck by a truck. The accident happened on PR 201 about three kilometres east of Letellier at about 7 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police did not released his name. Investigation and witness reports indicate a 2004 Ford pickup truck was westbound on PR 201 when it hit cyclist, who was reported to have swerved in front of oncoming traffic and was struck. The 50-year-old male driver and 35-year-old female passenger were not injured. Police said no charges are contemplated at this time.
