A day filled with fog and rain and hearty passengers!! We had three trips today...this morning we spent time in Western Passage where we had some good visibility and 2 minke whales as well as porpoise and very curious harbour seal pup! This afternoon was a long trip, trying to avoid the boat traffic we headed offshore to see if we could find whales off South Wolf but we had no luck out there so we headed back off Campobello where we got some great looks at 2 minkes (and the boat traffic had cleared out) but we then got word that a fin whale had shown up off Adams so on our way back to St. Andrews we stopped and got some great looks at the second largest whale in the world (it was a long trip and we were late getting back but spending the extra time was worth it)! This evening we started off with some great looks at the same fin whale and porpoise off Greens Point but then we got shut in by the fog.
