A day in the life... Okay for most people, winning the lottery is probably like, Hey! were going to give you a ton of money for no real reason! You only get to keep HALF of it, but its still more than you were gonna make in your natural life EVER anyway, so GO YOU! Go get that overpriced car that costs more in upkeep in one year than you paid for it up front in the first place. Buy a house with too much room that then requires too much furniture and too much...well, too much. GO. TO. MONACO. However, when you win the lottery at Casa de Arenales/ Clan Stewart, it looks and sounds like this phone call: Ms. Arenales, my name is Kelli M****** and I am returning your call from Friday afternoon. I understand the questions you have left here in your voice mail, so let me address those for you so were on the same page: Ronans transportation is still available for him, the bus will pick him up around 7:45 a.m. everyday. Now that he is five, we integrate our Developmental program kids at lunchtime, so lunch is provided for him in the cafeteria so he can have that social interaction at meal time with his other classmates and students of the same age from other classes. If youd like, we can offer him the same at breakfast. Its no longer necessary for you to send him lunch or snack now that he has graduated from Early Childhood into the Developmental program. The bus should return him to your address at about 3:10 or 3:15, as this is now an all-day program. Now, what she SAID was, this is an all-day program. What I HEARD: Ms. Arenales, after five years of having absolutely no CHANCE of having even a part time job, you can do that now. After five years of NEVER being able to attend classes ON campus at school for yourself, you now have roughly five hours her per day to knock out those final classes to get your degree. After five years of saying CONSTANT nos to every friend who ever asked you out to lunch, you can throw on a summer dress and some lipstick and go have some queso and a margarita then go make some really bad decisions at Hobby Lobby. Im not exaggerating, nor am I being hyperbolic. I just got a piece of myself back that I havent seen or touched or felt or heard from in years, save for bits and pieces here and there. Coupled with the fact that his case manager sounds so on the ball Im ALREADY at ease about his new school/year...keep your mansion and your Monaco. My son and I just won the lottery.
