A day in the life of Dog Aide thanks to wonderful donors and supporters like YOU. This is Baby, Baby is the cousin to our little spitfire, Coco. We met Baby about a year ago but hadnt seen her since then because her family was still undecided if they wanted to spay her. They gave us a call out of the blue last week, they were hoping for some food for Baby and they were hoping we could come visit and give our opinion on something that was going on with her skin and they wanted her spayed! The family had been trying for awhile treat her skin with items from the pet store but it was beyond help. Of course we went and found that Baby was itchy and her fur was falling out and she was just really uncomfortable. We gave her family some items that would kill fleas and help her feel better since we did see fleas on her and asked then to give us a shout in a couple of days to let us know how she was doing. Unfortunately, nothing we left helped so today Baby went to the vet for some medical help. We were afraid she might even have mange. Several (6 in fact) skin scrapes were done and, thank goodness, it was determined that she did NOT have mange. She does have a severe flea allergy though. She went home with antibiotics and steroids and some medication to take away the itch and when she gets better, she is going in for spay. All in a days work, all thanks to you for making sure Dog Aide could help.
