A day our family would like to forget but we remember.... a poem from Mom to Carolyn... September 13 2013 Carolyn has been gone for 4 years And likely on this day we will shed some tears But she would not want us to be sad For an amazing, but short life she certainly had Matthew is looking more like Kelly these days Although he continues to display many of Carolyn’s ways He loves to play hockey, run and get on his bike As well as polish rocks, do crafts, build Lego items and take a hike Mason has many of his Mother’s looks and features Like his Dad, he enjoys electronic games with many creatures Music, racing and playing with friends give him joy He certainly is a happy and fun loving boy Kelly continues to do a great job with his sons For relaxation he runs, bikes and hunts with his guns Family and friends visit often to give him a break or some time alone As it is quite a task to raise two boys on his own Today we all know what Carolyn would want us to do That is to hug those around us and tell them “I love you” Thank all who helped her on her journey and to remember the good times we did share And continue to show each other that we really do care
