A dear friend of mine came to me last week wanting a new purse. She already knew what colors she wanted, we just needed to find a pattern. We decided on the free pattern called Kennedy Bag by Sara Lawson. Now we didnt have the hardware, nor the stabilizers the bag called, so we punted. I used two layers of batting and quilted the flap, sides and bottom is a cross-hatch pattern and the front and back in a slanted pattern. We did use a heavy stabilizer for the lining of the sides and flap. We are very happy with the outcome.
