A dear friend wrote me this today as Lucy was sickly the last year or two. I dont know what happened to Lucy but I know this about her... she was intelligent cat and knew her way home, she always did. For over 12 years you always provided Lucy with a loving and caring home and did everything you could do to keep her healthy. Cats are highly intelligent solitary animals, you are a guest in their territory. You brought her back to a beautiful and peaceful place surrounded by nature in the redwoods and it was time and the right place so she walked out to pass in peace and solitude. She did this with cat wisdom, in cat way. And you gave her life full of love from which she could transition in peace with grace, and thats a great gift.
