A dear, kind man from here in Central Virginia was celebrated today. Rev. Journey R. Beasley was that rare gentleman who, on first contact, you know is safe, is kind. He spoke constantly of love and most, if not all, of the black churches here have his cabinetry in them. Our church was packed to the gills with people in every room and some outside. 39 ministers attended. This is a man who will be missed by so as he begins the ultimate "Journey."
