A dear kindred spirit former student but also often teacher, asked me to post this, (thanks Sharon, here goes....) Its My Desert island album. In my youth I was asked in a radio broadcasting exercise if I could only bring one album to a desert island, there to live forever, which one would your bring? For a musicologist with a massive record collections that included every thing from Frank Sinatra to Led Zeppelin, this is like trying to pick between your children. Its just something you are not supposed to be asked to do, however life often does not give us that luxury. So while a close second would indeed be Chuck Mangiones Chase The Clouds Away, the number 1 album in my heart and soul forever and always will be The Moody Blues In Search Of The Lost Chord. Its an album for me that encapsulates the journey called LIFE Its a concept album which means it is not 10 individual tracks, it is rather 10 parts of one complete story.
