A decade ago, the prices everywhere cost $200k especially HDB flats for example. The salaries were $1000, for example. Food, electricity, water bills were very affordable. Less or no foreigners came. happy life. Felt a sense of belonging here. No existence of mobile phones. A decade later, the HDB prices increased more than twice of a decade ago. Same go with food, electricity and etc. As a result, everyone works till they die. The salaries dont increase much. Millions of foreigners came. Riots happen. Frequent MRT trains breakdown. Stress. Witness ugly stuffs. Everyone likes to walk very fast, they dont bother to apologize after they hit me by one shoulder, let it be deliberate or not. Same go with MRT seat you take. Everyone is engrossed in their mobile phones and ipad, it affects their relationships with loved ones. Lack of press freedom. Street art are banned, as a result, it can land anyone in jail, give community service or both. Censorship of artworks, for publications/exhibitions as an example, are banned. No life in Singapore ie everyone work all the time, no time for family time even when the kids need your attention. Gone are our days where we happily spend time & play together without the existence of mobile phones and ipads and pressure of doing well in school. I feel that I dont belong here anymore. Sighssss. How i wish to go overseas....
