A decision from the Utah County Attorneys Office is expected in the Darrien Hunt shooting today. Hunt family attorney, Bob Sykes, just told me, The inferences Im receiving are that its negative for us... but I don’t have any firm evidence of that. Hunt was shot and killed by Saratoga Springs police in September as he was holding a sword. Officers have maintained he swung the sword at them, while family members say the officers shot a fleeing man in the back. The county attorneys office will decide whether or not to file charges.
