A delegation of senior US Senators, headed by Senator John McCain, Chairman of the Armed Services Committee, visited Israel earlier this week (January 18-19). The group included also Senator Bob Corker, Chairman of the Foreign Relation Committee; Senator Lindsay Graham, Chairman of the Sub Committee on State and Foreign Operations Appropriation; Senator John Barrasso, member of the Republican Party Leadership; U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, former Chairman of the Near Eastern Affairs Sub Committee, Senator Angus S. King, Jr. and Senator Joe Donnelly. The delegation met with the Israeli Prime Minister, the President, the Foreign Minister and the Head of the Opposition, and visited Yad Vashem, as a solidarity one week after the terrorist attacks in Paris.
