A difficult and painful read about a father who lost all his children when Israel bombed his place during the night. How can humans do this to other humans. What happened to conscious of humanity. How can people stay silent while witnessing the bloodshed of children, women, and old folks. Something has terribly gone wrong where the oppressed have no help from the strong ones who in the past have spoken so convincingly about peace and human rights. They are nothing but hollow images of deception and shame. As I hear the echoes of cloud thunder causing my window to shake and skies darkening I can not think of a time that was more depressing in the time of ramadan where Muslims were being killed indiscriminately and brutally. The thunder rippling the dark skies takes me to this picture in my mind to the moments where children hearing the explosions during the night and the fear they experience. Their bodies torn into pieces and their warm blood leaving permanent marks on our hearts. May Allah have mercy on them. There is no doubt that Gods mercy is on its way as I hear the rain drops trickle while thunder growls but gets less and less, so will Allahs help and mercy will arrive in abundance and justice shall prevail. The oppressors will face their Creator and they will not escape justice. There is no doubt in that. The thunder is almost gone and the I can hear the lessening of rain drops. Now I hear the worrying beat of my heart about what have we become as people and what we are capable of becoming. Faisal Khan
