A dog’s bone Lord you gave me a nourishing piece of bone, Let me not make it as a point of contention, Nor let me bury it selfishly under a stone, But help me share it, if that was Thy intention. Biblical References: (Eccles. 5:9) Even the king milks the land for his own profit! (Luke 3:11) John replied, "If you have two coats, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry." Thoughts: Wish-bone.Contention.Stone.Intention. God gives us the wish bone we were wishing for. But, we like dogs fight over the bone, making them the bones of contention, or bury or hide them as we are too selfish to share them freely with others.
