A facebook reader just sent us a message wondering how the camps are faring following Tropical Storm Arthur. We just put in a call to Norma Brennan of Curtis Outfitters in Blackville, New Brunswick and she says they do have power although Doaktown does not. She said water levels were close to springtime levels (up more than 1.5 metres) but they are coming down. The water is cooler (not a bad thing) and anglers are back on the river which is now starting to clear. Norma said the water was as dark as chocolate milk following the storm. Anglers are exercising caution as the water is still fast moving. She says they were hit pretty hard with thousands of trees down making some roads still impassible for large trucks. If you have any updates regarding power or river conditions please share them with us here on facebook. Photos are most welcome too!
