A faculty member was recently apartment hunting and received this amazing testimonial when she told the prospective landlord she worked at GCC: GCC is one of the institutions I appreciate and respect most in my entire lifetime. Even without being a student or staff member there, it is clear to me from living in Franklin County for the past 20 years that the course of the entire economy of this area has been greatly uplifted by GCC from what it otherwise would have been = especially after so many factories closed and moved to where labor was cheaper [what a heinous phrase]. I have witnessed that everyone associated with GCC, from the president through faculty & instructors to administrative assistants, truly cares about each student. GCC has changed so many lives through its commitment to fully support each student = regardless of age, circumstances, family/emotional issues, and other special needs = to be able to make progress. Swoon.
