A failed culture is a culture that isolates itself from the realities of the world by escaping from the misery of the present to the cave of a glorified past. A failed culture is suffering from narcissism and paranoia at the same time. It distrusts its own minorities and considers them to be a danger instead of making use of their talents. Where are the Jews of Basra and Alexandria today? Where are Bahais of Iran? Where are the Ahmadis of Pakistan? Where are the shiites of Saudi Arabia? Where are the Armenians in Turkey? Where are the Christians of Malaysia, Indonesia, Syria, Morocco and Iraq? By forcing them to go or to hide we practiced self-mutilation and became a failed culture!
