A family donated thousands of dollars to a charity fund been duked. We all have seen these commercials late night; The scene always shows starving African Children, with blown up bellys, skinny arms, legs, flies around their eyes, looking so sad, with dramatic music softly playing, enough to make the viewer say awwwww I need to do something for these poor helpless children Yes it all looks genuine at first, legitimate well known charity names or some made up names, anything to get your money. Millions has been fooled by these fake charities. The Hudson family who donated over $10 thousand dollars to what they thought was a legit charity foundation turn out to be nothing but a huge scam. Mr Hudson knew something was wrong when one of his friends who lived out of state didnt know Mr Hudson was donating money to a charity fund; his friend Jason sent him a link/flyer to a charity foundation that coincidentally had the same name. Mr Hudson did some research of his own, he found out the charity fund his friend Jason was donating to was legit and the one he was donating to was totally fake, although it seemed plausible but after careful research there were no such charity that existed in Africa... The blog was fake, the website was fake, people who Mr Hudson talked to on the phone was paid actors. They shut down the operation after being exposed. The Hudson family never recovered their lost although they did receive a tax credit for the money they donated. Question how do you know what charities are legit or not. Your Thoughts?
