A family including a husband, wife and their kid were going somewhere by train. It was around 2 o‘clock in the afternoon and the atmosphere was normal. Kids were playing and elders talking. All of a sudden the lights went off and there was utter darkness everywhere. The kid wasn’t able to see his parents and to the parents also the kid wasn’t visible. The kid got horrified by the sudden darkness and out of fear, he started crying bitterly. His mom tried to cool him down but the poor kid still continued to cry. Just two minutes later all the darkness drifted away and there was brightness all around. The kid was relieved seeing his parents in front of him and stopped crying. When there was darkness around the kid was crying, but his mother was pretty normal, why? The reason is that the mom was aware that the train was passing through a tunnel. She knew that the darkness would not last long. The parents knew that since there is a tunnel, darkness will exist, but once tunnel is over, there will be light all around. But the little kid was unaware of all this so he simply started crying. The question to you all is… who are you? The kid or the parents? Hasn’t your life’s train ever passed through such a dark tunnel? Where there is gloomy all around, you have no clue how to proceed. Question that strikes our mind, “Why only my life has so many problems?” It may happen that you fail in your life, but you must always remember one thing – Just like a bottle of medicine has an expiry date, Every Sorrow, Problem, ‘DUKH’ has an expiry date! Life’s train passes through such a tunnel. Every man’s life has hurdles. Whenever such a tunnel comes up we get upset, but we need to remember that since we are passing through this tunnel, there may come lots of problems, many ups and downs, but there will come a time when this tunnel will END! There’s no DUKH in this world which is eternal. Sorrow and Happiness goes one after the other. Today’s ‘Sukh’ (Happiness) can be tomorrow’s ‘Dukh’ and tomorrow’s ‘Dukh’ is definitely going to turn into ‘Sukh’ someday in future. Life passes through numerous tunnels, but you should always be alert. ‘Arrival of Dukh (Soreness) is the result of KARMA, but being into that Dukh is the result of your state of mind.’ There are some people who even in the state of happiness are always sad by thinking about the sorrow that might come in near future. But there are also few people who are in sorrow, but stay happy hoping for a better future. ‘It’s you who has to decide what you want; to be happy or sad as….. SUKH and DUKH, both are in your hands’.
