A family loses their home plus all their material possessions in a tornado and praises God. A woman regains consciousness following a cancer surgery and praises God. A farmer gazes over a field destroyed by hail and praises God. How do they do that and how do we follow their example? (Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. Psalm 145:2) David knew the presence of God, his Creator and Provider, and he praised Him in both good and bad times. Some of Davids difficulties resulted from the sins of others, yet David looked to God for protection and peace in the midst of his turmoil. Many of Davids troubles were self-imposed. Although not always faithful to God, God remained faithful to David. God loved him enough to correct but also forgive when David repented. Many difficulties simply resulted from living in an imperfect world. Nevertheless, David relied on our perfect God and praised Him. So can we! When blessings pour, praise God. When we hit lifes daily challenges, praise God! When troubles come, praise God. If we allow Gods joy to fill us, regardless of lifes circumstances, our praises overflow. Think about it. God Bless You Thank you Lord for the assurance of Your presence in everything and situation we face. Amen
